Details

Mandatory work activity aims to help claimants:

  • develop the skills and behaviours employers are looking for
  • get into the habit of attending work on time and every day

A Jobcentre Plus work coach may ask the claimant to take part in a mandatory work placement of up to 4 weeks. If they do not take part, they could lose their benefits for a period of time.
