Details

Local regulation deals with problems that extend well beyond council boundaries - such as animal diseases, mobile scams and illegal imports - but faces restrictions on targeting resources at national threats, even when in the economic interests of businesses and consumers. These were assessed in a research project. Two summaries of the findings are provided above, together with a comprehensive list of relevant threats, and a description of the methods used.
