The government announced its decisions on the development pool of local major transport schemes on 29 November and 14 December 2011. We are publishing an update document setting out the process in more detail. For the 41 schemes where decisions have been announced, we are publishing the department’s internal assessment of the bids using the 5 elements of the transport business case and the individual funding offer letters for each scheme. Some information has been redacted where it might prejudice ongoing financial considerations.

On 21 March 2012 the government announced its decision on the bid received for the Bexhill to Hastings link road. The department’s assessment of the bid and funding offer letter are now included in the list below.

On 10 May the department notified Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council that DfT would not provide funding for the Waverley link road scheme. The department’s decision letter is included in the list below.

Funding bids

Please note: the comments period for development pool schemes has now closed. The department will be considering the comments received during the assessment of the best and final funding bid documentation. We hope to make funding decisions later in the year.
