The Environment Agency has received an application to vary (change) an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 from Brian Armistead Limited.
The proposed variation may significantly increase the risk from waste operations.

Regulated facility type
This is a bespoke Waste Transfer and Treatment facility which includes composting, aggregate processing, waste wood and paper crumble treatment and drying to make animal bedding, and road sweepings processing and the transfer and treatment of non hazardous waste. This application is to extend the permit boundary, increase the annual tonnage from 74,999 to 120,000 tonnes/annum, add additional wastes which include some common hazardous wastes, clinical wastes, and food wastes, add crushing to the physical treatment of aggregates and shredding and compaction of the non hazardous wastes.
