The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Veolia ES (UK) Limited.

The Applicant is seeking to vary existing Activities on the site, expanding their treatment capacity by 28,000tpa by introducing two treatment columns and two MCP boiler units to fuel the process of reclaiming solvents to produce a distillate fuel and reusable solvents for market. This requires an expansion in storage capacity and an increase in the volume of surface water discharge from the site. The site area itself is not expanding.
