Details of the application

J.B. Davies Settlement has applied to the Environment Agency for a licence.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Regulation 6 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.

The application is for a full licence to abstract water from the River Tern between National Grid References SJ 63325 20220 and SJ 63838 20804.

The application is to abstract water as follows:

  • 20 cubic metres an hour
  • 480 cubic metres a day
  • 20,693 cubic metres a year
  • at an instantaneous rate not exceeding 5.6 litres per second
  • between 1 March and 30 September inclusive in each year.

The water will be used for spray irrigation.
