Advice from the Independent Reconfiguration Panel was requested by the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care following a referral made by Telford and Wrekin Council about NHS plans entitled ‘Future Fit’ which proposed to reconfigure acute services at The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

Initial advice from the IRP was sent to the Secretary of State on 31 May 2019 with final advice on 31 July 2019.
