Institute of Commercial Management (IOCM) Compliance with general conditions D, E, G and H Undertakings accepted Open

On 3 December 2013, IOCM gave us an undertaking which set out the steps it would take to address our concerns about its compliance with our ‘General Conditions of Recognition’, specifically:

  • section D - general requirements for regulated qualifications
  • section E - design and development of qualifications
  • section G - setting and delivering the assessment
  • section H - marking and issuing results

On 9 January 2014, IOCM gave us a second undertaking to review, and amend as necessary, all of its policies and procedures relating to the development, delivery and award of its qualifications and assessments, and its other regulated qualifications. This follows on from the work that it is doing as part of the December 2013 undertaking

In line with general condition B8, IOCM must now take all the steps identified in the undertakings. We will monitor its progress, and can take further action if it doesn’t follow through on its commitments.
