The Net Zero, Energy and Climate Change Interministerial Group met on 17 January 2022. The meeting was chaired by the Minister for Climate Change Julie James MS.

2. What was discussed
The Interministerial Group discussed the content and timing of the forthcoming consultation on proposals to develop the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (UK ETS). The Group also discussed the UK ETS Cost Containment Mechanism.
