The Net Zero, Energy and Climate Change Interministerial Group met on 12 April 2021. The meeting was chaired by the Cabinet Secretary for Environment, Climate Change and Land Reform (Scottish Government), Roseanna Cunningham MSP.

What was discussed

The Interministerial Group discussed possible changes in the scope of the UK Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) as well as next steps following the publication of the Industrial Decarbonisation Strategy. The Group agreed to work together during the development of the UK government’s Net Zero Strategy.
