Details

From 1 January 2023, you can exit your current Countryside Stewardship (CS) or Environmental Stewardship (ES) HLS agreement, without repayment, to apply for a new land management scheme.

You still need to meet the scheme rules and deadlines, including submitting a valid application, receiving, and accepting an agreement offer. The new agreement must offer equivalent or greater environmental benefits than your current agreement.
