The NHS Chief Executive has asked Sir Ian Carruthers to lead a review on his behalf on how the spread of innovations can be accelerated across the NHS and produce a report in November 2011 that will inform the strategic approach to innovation in the modernised NHS.  Sir Ian has issued a call for evidence to the service and will be working with industry, academia and the NHS and a range of other stakeholder, representative and third sector organisations to gather relevant ideas and best practice to scale up new ideas and accelerate the spread of innovation.
