This summer, over 1.1 million results were issued for A levels and level 3 vocational and technical qualifications.

814,335 A level results were issued in 2025.

Over 250,000 vocational and technical results were issued to students alongside A levels.

The top 3 A level subject areas with the most results issued were:

  • mathematics with 104,630 results issued
  • psychology with 72,930 results issued
  • biology with 65,355 results issued

The top 3 subject areas for applied generals with the most grades issued were:

  • business, administration and law with 54,135 results issued
  • social sciences with 40,085 results issued
  • science and mathematics with 29,955 results issued
