Over 7.1 million results were issued for A levels, GCSEs and vocational and technical qualifications.
This summer, over 6 million results were issued for GCSEs and level 1 and 2 vocational and technical qualifications.
45.8% of 16-year olds achieved grade 4 or above in 7 or more GCSEs.

For technical awards the top 3 subject areas with the most grades issued were:
- leisure, travel and tourism with 82,015 results issued
- health, public services and care with 69,650 results issued
- arts, media and publishing with 65,340 results issued
