This document sets out to highlight and reinforce general infection prevention and control (IPC) principles to be used in combination with local guidance and manufacturer’s instructions when decontaminating and handling incubators in neonatal units during and after patient use.

It is for people responsible for setting and maintaining standards of IPC within neonatal care.
