Details
Clostridioides difficile is a leading cause of healthcare-associated infections.
Mandatory surveillance of Clostridioides difficile infections (CDI) began in financial year (FY) 2007 to 2008 with analysis reported routinely as official statistics in the public domain.
As of the 31 December 2024, we report a continuing increasing trend in CDI counts and rates in England, following the rises seen from FY 2021 to 2022.
