Details
This notice requires the council to take steps to improve its SEND services following the joint Ofsted and Care Quality Commission (CQC) Local area SEND report, in respect of the SEND revisit which was carried out between 17 and 19 May 2021.
The inspection report states that sufficient progress has been made in addressing 2 of the 8 significant weaknesses identified at the initial inspection and has failed to make sufficient progress in 6 other areas of significant weakness.
This improvement notice was lifted on 26 July 2023 following a review of North Somerset Council’s SEND services.
