Details
This improvement notice requires East Riding of Yorkshire Council to improve its children’s social care services. It follows a report by Ofsted which judged the overall effectiveness of children’s social care services provided by East Riding of Yorkshire Council as inadequate.
The above letter has been issued to East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The letter outlines principles which the Department for Education has agreed in response to a request for flexibilities from the local authority to enable it to deliver the requirements of its improvement notice while responding to the challenges of the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak.
This improvement notice was lifted following a report by Ofsted published on 24 March 2023.
