Details
An improvement notice was issued on 3 August 2012, following an Ofsted inspection of safeguarding and looked-after children’s services, which judged the service to be inadequate.
A second inspection in May 2013 found that services remained inadequate.
There has been clear progress in some areas, but little or no improvement in others, and the quality of the service was highly variable.
Ministers issued an new improvement notice on 7 January 2014, which focuses on the areas where progress has been inadequate.
This improvement notice was closed and replaced with a direction issued on 9 November 2015.
