Summary of the epidemiology of imported malaria in the UK based on data from the UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) Malaria Reference Laboratory. The spreadsheets provide the additional data on:

  • provisional imported malaria case numbers in the UK by species by month for 2022 and 2023 (until October 2023)
  • imported malaria cases in the UK by species and region of travel for 2021
  • imported malaria cases in the UK by species and reason for travel for 2021
  • imported malaria cases (including malaria deaths) reported in the UK since 2000 by malaria parasite species
