The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Transwaste Recycling and Aggregates Limited.

Regulated facility type

The facility type is a waste installation operating under Section 5.4 A(1)(b)(i). There are also five waste operations. The variation application is to add three small waste incineration plants(SWIPs) under Section 5.1 B(a)(v) and to change the permit to a multi-operator permit, with the neighbouring proposed installation, operated by Melton Energy Tech, EPR/ZP3322SC.
