Details of the application

The Environment Agency has received an application to vary an environmental permit under the Environmental Permitting (England and Wales) Regulations 2016 involving substantial change to a permit from Mr Richard James Buckle, Mr Richard Geoffrey Buckle and Mr Robert Buckle.

Regulated facility type

Pig numbers will increase from 4,500 production pigs over 30kg and 2,700 pigs from weaning to 30kg to 6,500 production pigs over 30kg and 3,500 pigs from weaning to 30kg.

There will be one new finisher building (Finisher 3) to place 2000 pigs >30k.

There will be a slurry acidification plant to add acid to the slurry to reduce ammonia emissions from all pig houses.

The installation boundary has been extended to the north of the site to accommodate the new finisher building.
