Housing schemes - emergency advice

The Legal Aid Agency (LAA) funds HPCDS throughout England and Wales to provide on-the-day emergency advice and advocacy to anyone facing possession proceedings.

The schemes allow anyone in danger of eviction or having property repossessed to get free legal advice and representation on the day of their hearing, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Provider guidance from 1st May 2022

Revised HPCDS provider guidance came into effect on the 1st May 2022 to reflect contractual changes.

In addition an updated privacy notice for HPCDS has also been made available for use.

Providers are no longer required to undertake proxy means assessments for HPCDS clients and these forms have therefore been removed from this page.
