This guide provides examples of best practice by local authorities when completing Housing Benefit subsidy claims. It aims to help local authorities minimise or avoid qualified audits.
Local authorities provided these examples at workshops and during DWP visits. The guide includes background about the workshops and visits.
We hope that the guide will help to reduce the current high level of qualified audits of local authority subsidy claims.
