If you are an employer in the forestry sector and are interested in hosting or employing an apprentice, here are the opportunities at levels 3 to 6:
Forest Craftsperson apprenticeship (level 3)
Supplytrain CIC (hosting opportunity)
We’ve partnered with Supplytrain CIC to help forestry employers recruit and manage Level 3 Forest Craftsperson apprenticeships. They act as your outsourced apprenticeship department, handling recruitment, HR, payroll and college liaison on your behalf.

Forestry Works Manager (level 4)
This apprenticeship was launched in 2026, with the University of Cumbria and Plumpton College. Email the relevant institution to find out more:

Professional Forester apprenticeship (level 6)
At level 6, apprentices join the Forestry Commission cohort for their formal training while gaining practical experience with you.
