This framework document sets out the broad governance framework within which the Department for Culture, Media and Sport and the Horserace Betting Levy Board operate.
The document sets out the Horserace Betting Levy Board’s core responsibilities and describes the governance and accountability framework that applies between DCMS and the Horserace Betting Levy Board. It also sets out how the day-to-day relationship works in practice, including in relation to governance and financial matters.
This framework document has been agreed between the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the Horserace Betting Levy Board in accordance with the HM Treasury handbook Managing Public Money, and has been approved by HM Treasury.
