The performance takes into account the size of HMRC’s estate and the number of people employed. At the end of March 2016, HMRC’s estate comprised 167 offices across the UK. The VOA had a presence at 62 offices. HMRC employed around 58,600 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees. The VOA’s workforce totalled 3,600 FTE employees.
