This report records progress made by HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) and its agency, the Valuation Office Agency (VOA) against the environment targets contained in the Greening Government Commitments (GGCs).
The report also includes a detailed breakdown of data required to meet HM Treasury guidelines on sustainability reporting.
The performance takes into account the size of HMRC’s estate and the number of people employed.
At the end of March 2017, HMRC’s estate comprised 145 offices across the UK. The VOA had a presence at 53 offices. HMRC employed around 61,800 full-time equivalent (FTE) employees. The VOA’s workforce totalled 3,500 FTE employees.
The external body, the Building Research Establishment, has verified our data.
