Details

The report describes the findings and conclusions of the audit undertaken by the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) in France between 2 and 6 December 2024.

The objective of the audit was to assess the level of effectiveness with which animal health controls, surveillance systems and laboratory procedures supporting the HPAI vaccination programme are implemented in France.

The audit, led by Defra’s UK Office for SPS Trade Assurance, assessed France’s implementation and surveillance of HPAI vaccination in commercial ducks to provide the necessary animal health assurances for the export of duck meat and meat products to Great Britain.
