This report provides an annual update on local epidemiology of hepatitis C, the burden and impact of the infection and service coverage. It summarises the progress made in the North East to eliminate hepatitis C infection and provides recommendations for stakeholders on reducing new infections and the morbidity and mortality of those already infected with hepatitis C.
