On 29 November, the Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills published The path to strong, sustainable and balanced growth - a paper which launched the government’s Growth Review programme.

This letter invites strategic health authorities to contribute their views to a component of the Growth Review programme, focusing specifically on the Healthcare and Life Sciences sector. The Department of Health, in partnership with other relevant government departments, will be participating in a fundamental review of what each part of Government is doing to support and foster growth in this sector. To inform this review we are seeking views from a wide variety of stakeholders - including companies from the life sciences sector and colleagues from the NHS.
