Details

A consignee return reports what hazardous waste has been received, or disposed of at your premises or place where it is produced, every quarter.

The consignee returns spreadsheet has been updated to fix the previous issue.

You must now:

  • submit your 2025 Q4 return first, on or before 4 March 2026
  • submit your Q2 and Q3 returns as soon as possible after that, on or before 18 March 2026

Follow the guidance on how to complete your consignee return, as the format has changed.

You do not need to resubmit your data if you have already successfully submitted your Q2, Q3 or Q4 returns.

  1. Updated the publication 'Details' to say that the returns spreadsheet has been updated. And that you now need to submit your 2025 returns by the dates specified.

  2. Updated the 'Consignee returns spreadsheet issue' section to explain when the updated spreadsheet should be published, and what you'll need to do when it is.

  3. Added to 'Details':You cannot currently submit your consignee returns using the spreadsheet. This is because an update to Microsoft’s security settings has interfered with the essential components of the spreadsheet. You must keep your records for later submission whilst we find a solution. We will contact past consignees and update this page when you are able to submit your consignee returns.
