Details

Sewerage undertakers in England and Wales have a statutory duty to prepare, publish and maintain a Drainage and Sewerage Management Plan under section 94 of the Water Industry Act 1991. These plans are commonly called Drainage and Wastewater Management Plans (DWMP).

These non-statutory guidelines instruct sewerage undertakers as to how to prepare, publish and maintain a compliant DWMP. These guidelines may also be useful for other Risk Management Authorities (RMAs) who work with sewerage undertakers.
