  1. There are 401 Barclaycard Government Procurement Cards held by core Home Office, former UK Border Agency and Her Majesty’s Passport Office staff.

  2. The following categories are open for purchase using a GPC:

  • building material
  • office stationery
  • computer equipment and services
  • books and periodicals
  • vehicle, servicing and spares

There are other categories that have ‘spend’ against them where they have been opened as an exception following submission of a business case.

3.The Government Procurement Service undertakes a quarterly questionable spend exercise since January 2011:
