Declaration of National Nature Reserve

Notice is hereby given that:
In pursuance of section 19(1) of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 and section 35(1) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, Natural England has, by the Mid Cornwall Moors National Nature Reserve No.01 Declaration made on the 23rd day of March 2026, declared that the Goss Moor National Nature Reserve is extended.
The extension land having a total area of 664.50 hectares or thereabouts shown single hatched and shaded yellow on the maps attached to the said Declaration, situated in the parishes of Lanhydrock, Lanivet, Lanlivery, Luxulyan, Roche, St. Breock, St. Columb Major, St. Dennis, St. Enoder, St. Issey, St. Wenn and Treverbyn in the county of Cornwall is held by Natural England or is held by Cornwall Heritage Trust, Cornwall Wildlife Trust, Gaia Trust and Imerys, bodies approved by Natural England to hold and manage National Nature Reserves.
The said land now having a total area of 1146.40 hectares or thereabouts is being managed as a nature reserve, and Natural England is satisfied that the land is of national importance.
And in accordance with section 19(3) of the National Parks and Access to the Countryside Act 1949 (as amended), and all other powers enabling them in that behalf, Natural England has declared that the land having a total area of 8.39 hectares or thereabouts, situated in the parishes of Roche and St. Dennis in the county of Cornwall and shown crosshatched black on maps 4, 5 and 6 attached to the said Declaration (which land was included in Goss Moor National Nature Reserve No. 1 Declaration made by the Nature Conservancy Council on the 7th day of September 1990) has ceased to be held and managed by Natural England as a nature reserve.
