Decision of the Charity Commission published on 15 November 2013.

The charity wished to widen its objects from local conservation to any charitable purposes worldwide. The commission decided not to give consent on the basis that the proposed amendment represents such a radical change that it would not be within the reasonable contemplation of those who have supported the charity.

The effect of the proposed amendment would be to create a new charity.
