Gelatine and collagen intended for human consumption: model health certificates
Competent authorities of exporting countries should use the relevant model health certificate as a template to create a version exporters can apply for to export gelatine and collagen intended for human consumption to Great Britain, the Channel Islands or Isle of Man.

Gelatine and collagen intended for human consumption exported to Great Britain must be accompanied by the relevant health certificate. Exporters should read the guide on how to complete a health certificate.
Certificates GBHC109X and GBHC430
Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC109X from 1 January 2021.
Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC430 from 30 April 2024.
EU countries must use certificate GBHC430 from 31 January 2024.

Certificates GBHC110X and GBHC431
Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC110X from 1 January 2021.
Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC431 from 30 April 2024.

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC111X from 1 January 2021.

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC112X from 1 January 2021.

Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC123X from 1 January 2021.
Non-EU countries must use certificate GBHC434 from 30 April 2024.
EU countries must use certificate GBHC434 from 31 January 2024.

Use this certificate from 1 January 2021.
Model health certificate for gelatine derived from ruminant bones or pigskins, intended for human consumption, intended for dispatch from the United States.
Certificate GBHC163
Use this certificate from 1 January 2021.
Model health certificate for collagen derived from bovine hides and pigskins, intended for human consumption, intended for dispatch from the United States.

We have updated certificates GBHC430, GBHX431, GBHC432, GBHC433 and GBHC434. We have also updated the ‘use from’ date for certificates GBHC430, GBHX431, GBHC432, GBHC433 and GBHC434. Use from date for EU changed to 31 January 2024. Use from date for non-EU countries changed to 30 April 2024.

We have replaced all EU certificates ending in E with new certificates that can be used by all countries. EU countries must use the new certificates from 31 October 2023. Non-EU countries can continue using certificates ending in X or start using the new certificates. We will communicate the deadline for non-EU countries switching to the new certificates in due course.
