Details

The Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB) is currently both the statutory regulator and professional leadership body for pharmacy. Government intervention is necessary to ensure the appropriate separation of roles and to ensure that modernisation of the regulation of pharmacy reflects the changing role of pharmacy. Consequently powers were taken in the Health and Social Care Act 2008 to separate the functions.
