Thank you for your email, dated 23rd November 2021, in which you asked:

“In response to a recent FOI made ref. 21/1152 it was confirmed there have been 3 fatal reports made to MHRA for all yellow card reports made for Isle of Man for all Covid-19 vaccines up to the 3rd November 2021.

Of these 3 Fatal Reports please can you confirm the following:-

  • The time after the vaccination that the death occurred.
  • The age and sex of the deceased.
  • Any known underlying health conditions of the deceased.”

The information requested is withheld under Section 35 of the FOI Act. Section 35 of the FOI Act protects the internal deliberative process as it relates to government policy making. The MHRA and Department of Health will be undertaking discussions around the level of data and associated fields that should be placed in the public domain. Until this policy decision has been agreed we are unable to release additional data beyond that in the format that is included in the weekly summary of Yellow Card reporting.
