A quarterly report on how well the SIA has done in responding to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.

1 October 2022 onwards

The reports for the period 1 October 2022 to now contain information about:

  • the requests we received - how many we received and how many we were still processing at the end of the reporting period
  • the responses we gave - how many we provided, how many were within 20 working days and how many took us longer than that
  • the information we provided - for example, how many of our responses provided the requested information and how many did not (either because of a legal exemption or because we did not hold that information)
  • internal reviews - how many responses were referred for internal review, and what the outcomes of those reviews were
  • ICO reviews - how many responses were referred to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for review, and what the outcomes of those reviews were

Prior to 1 October 2022

The reports for the period 1 April 2020 to 30 September 2022 contain information about:

  • the requests we received - how many we received and how many we were still processing at the end of the reporting period
  • the responses we gave - how many we provided, how many were within 20 working days and how many took us longer than that
  • the information we provided - for example, how many of our responses provided the requested information and how many did not (either because of a legal exemption or because we did not hold that information)

  1. Replaced the single performance report file with separate files for each financial year. Reports from quarter 2 of the 2022 to 2023 financial year onwards use a different reporting format to the others. The new format provides greater transparency over this area of SIA activity.

  2. Updated the report to include figures for quarter 2 of the 2022 to 2023 financial year. We have also updated the figures for quarter 1 - specifically, the 2 figures listed under 'Requests received'. This is because 1 request was withdrawn after the last report was published.

  3. Updated the report to include figures for quarter 1 of the 2022 to 2023 financial year.

  4. Updated the report to include figures for quarter 4 of the 2021 to 2022 financial year.

  5. Updated the report to include figures for quarter 3 of the 2021 to 2022 financial year.

  6. Updated the report to include figures for: quarter 4 of the 2020 to 2021 financial year; quarter 1 of the 2021 to 2022 financial year; quarter 2 of the 2021 to 2022 financial year.
