Competent authorities must provide a health certificate to exporters of animals and animal products to Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man.

Competent authorities should use the updates below to make changes to health certificates for exporters to ensure they are in line with the current version of the model health certificates.

GBHC053X LBM Live bivalve molluscs, echinoderms, tunicates and marine gastropods from non-EU countries

Version 3.1

Published August 2022:

  • This certificate will be accepted until 29 April 2024. This is the last date (inclusive) that this certificate will be accepted, based on the date it was signed, not the date the consignment arrives in Great Britain.

  • throughout: references to ‘OIE’ changed to ‘WOAH’
  • notes: references to lists of susceptible and vector species in legislation removed and replaced with references to lists published administratively
  • notes: links to pages containing details of areas which are regarded as disease-free, or subject to a surveillance or eradication programme for OsHV-1 µvar added
  • notes: link to published lists of susceptible and vector species added
