Dear colleague

Annual fees statement

I am writing to inform you that we have today published our updated annual fees statement.

The fees statement is an important part of our ongoing accountability and transparency to providers that we committed to on introducing fee charging. The update to the fees statement reflects our move to becoming a standalone body and confirms our priorities and the current costs of our key functions.

We set the per-unit fee for all large providers (those with 1,000 homes or more) based on the agreed fees budget originally set out in our fees consultation and the units data from the recently published Statistical Data Return.

The estimated per-unit fee for 2019/20 is £4.72 for all larger providers. This is a decrease of two pence per unit compared to the 2018/19 per unit fee due to the increase in social homes built over the previous year. The final per-unit fee, taking account of the latest registrations and de-registrations, will be known by early February 2019 and we will write to confirm the final figure at that point.

We will issue fee invoices for 2019/20 by early March 2019. However, we wanted to draw your attention to the per-unit fee set out in the fees statement at this stage to assist with your annual budgeting.

Yours faithfully

Mick Warner

Deputy Director, Finance and Corporate Services
