This data covers the results of a survey carried out between 16 November and 13 December 2015 by the Food Standards Agency on behalf of Defra.
This was undertaken for a Europe-wide survey by the EU Commission on non-stun slaughter of farm animals. The survey took place in 48 establishments in England and Wales which choose to slaughter without stunning.
