Details

This paper presents the findings from research with 40 family-owned businesses, employing between 10 and 250 staff, conducted during February 2014.

Adds to the evidence base on family businesses, identifying how they differ from other small to medium enterprises and what particular barriers or challenges they face. Examines whether there is evidence that specifically targeted policy measures for family businesses are justified, over and above support or other measures available for small to medium enterprises generally.
