Details

This report presents the findings from a combination of internal DCLG and externally commissioned research and analysis to provide an overall evaluation of the New Homes Bonus in the first 4 years of its implementation. We would welcome comments on the findings of this evaluation, which should be addressed to NewHomesBonus@communities.gsi.gov.uk.

It draws on findings from a range of evidence sources including case study qualitative and quantitative research commissioned by DCLG from a consortium led by the University of Sheffield, a DCLG analysis of the financial impacts on individual authorities and findings from the 2013 British Social Attitudes survey.

More detail on the research carried out by the University of Sheffield can be found on their website.
