Details

The evaluation found that the NAAB was set up and delivered effectively. For example, the NAAB was seen as child-centric, accessible, and beneficial for safeguarding young people. Additionally, the NAAB training was in high demand and well received by local authorities. Whilst the NAAB was perceived to achieve its intended outcomes, it encountered some barriers, including time-consuming assessments, a lack of social workers, IT system issues, and communication challenges between the NAAB and local authorities.
