As part of its continual evaluation programme, the Competition and Markets Authority (CMA) commissioned KPMG to review 8 past merger clearance decisions.

The review focuses on the CMA’s and its predecessors’ assessment of the likelihood and impact of entry and expansion in 8 cases. In its review, KPMG makes 7 recommendations for best practice when considering these issues in future work.
