1. Action: land and building collection tool is open for completion by 4 November 2019

There’s just over one week to go until the deadline for the land and buildings collection tool (LBCT) return on Monday 4 November 2019. Thank you to all those trusts who have already completed their return.

This week’s top tip is if your form is rejected and not re-submitted by the deadline, it will be deemed late. We highly recommend contacting the necessary user as soon as possible to ensure all review and submission is completed by the deadline

If you are experiencing difficulties in completing your return, join our weekly skype calls and web-chat sessions with users. Our next skype call is tomorrow, Thursday 24 October 14:00 to 14:30.

2. Reminder: autumn school census deadline

The deadline for approved submissions for the autumn school census 2019 is Wednesday 30 October 2019.

Please make sure that you check your data before submitting your census return.

3. Information: interest free loans to fund energy saving projects

Salix Finance is available to help you upgrade to more efficient technology such as LED lighting, new boilers or insulation, to improve the learning environment, reduce emissions and save money.

There are no up-front costs and the interest free loan is repaid through savings made on your energy bills. Salix Finance, is a government funded organisation available to maintained schools, academies, free schools and sixth form colleges.

4. Information: Academies Accounts Return 2018 to 2019 guidance and resources are now published online

The Academies Accounts Return (AAR) 2018 to 2019 guidance and resources have now been published.
Here you will find:

  • guidance documents to help when completing the form
  • guidance on pensions
  • benchmarking mapping document
  • tutorial videos
  • Skype and web chat details
  • Excel workbook

The accounts return online form will be available for users on Monday 4 November 2019. The deadline for the submission of the AAR is Monday 20 January 2020

5. Information: 16 to 19 revenue funding allocations for 2019 to 2020

We have published the 16 to 19 revenue funding allocations for academic year 2019 to 2020.

The publication covers schools, academies and further education institutions funded by ESFA for 16 to 19 year olds and 19 to 25 year olds with an education, health and care plan.

We publish 16 to 19 allocations data annually in the interests of transparency.
