The project, funded by the Department for Energy Security and Net Zero, examined environmental challenges – and identified potential impacts – associated with water availability, water quality, air quality, flood risk, and climate impacts in the Humber, Teesside, and HyNet industrial areas.
The report summarises the work and findings created across the four phases of this project and makes recommendations for government, regulators, industry and local authorities on how to address challenges, including utilising HMG’s current policy initiatives - clean energy mission, planning reforms, innovation for growth, reforms to Defra ALBs and environmental permitting and more.
