The Environment Agency is applying to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.

The application is for a full abstraction licence to abstract water from the Triassic Sandstone aquifer at Sanders Park, Bromsgrove, National Grid Reference SO 94800 70560. The application is to abstract 1,000 cubic metres a day, 168,000 cubic metres a year.

The water will be used to augment flows in the Battlefield Brook. This is to replace an existing licence which expired on 31 March 2014.

The Environment Agency is giving notice of this application, in accordance with Section 37 of the Water Resources Act 1991 and Paragraph 2 of Schedule 2 of the Water Resources (Abstraction and Impounding) Regulations 2006.
