The economic analysis tool allows you to:

  • see evidence on the cost and impact of interventions and services for patients at the end of their lives

  • explore the cost implications and potential trade-offs of moving end of life care away from acute care to primary, community or social care settings

  • estimate the return on investment (ROI) and impact of interventions in your local area, for specific interventions that have been effective elsewhere

The user guide and report on the cost-effective commissioning of end of life care:

  • give the wider policy context

  • explain the health economics of palliative and end of life care

  • show you how to use the economic tool
